NEW YORK | ULAANBAATAR (IDN) – While unanimously agreeing on tougher sanctions against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in response to the country’s sixth and most powerful nuclear test early September, the UN Security Council called for the resumption of the Six-Party Talks.

By pleading for the multilateral negotiations involving China, DPRK, Japan, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation and the United States, the 15-member Council expressed its “commitment to a peaceful, diplomatic and political solution to the situation on the Korean Peninsula”. カザフスタン、核不拡散に向けた重要な一歩でIAEAに加わる

８月２９日午前１１時５分（現地時間）、カザフスタンの首都アスタナでは全ての核実験被害者に対する黙祷が捧げられたが、そこから２７１３マイル（４３６５キロ）離れた北朝鮮では、同日、中距離弾道ミサイルが発射され日本の上空を通過して太平洋に落下した。この日、カザフスタンでは、核不拡散に新しい１ページを切り開く可能性のある新たな施設が、国連の核査察機関の協力の下で正式に開設された。

米国が原子爆弾を初めて爆発させた１９４５年７月から、１９９６年の包括的核実験禁止条約（CTBT）署名開放までの５０年間に、世界全体で２０００回以上の核実験が行われた。１９９６年９月にCTBTが署名開放されてから２０１６年までには９回の核実験が行われた。それ以降に核実験を行ってきたのは北朝鮮のみである。

BERLIN | NEW YORK (IDN) – Six days before the UN Security Council unanimously agreed to impose harsher sanctions on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), it received a far from encouraging report on the implementation of sanctions slammed so far.

أستانة (IDN) – بينما لاحظنا لحظة الحداد التي مرة في التاسع والعشرون من أغسطس في الساعة 11:05 صباحاً بتوقيت أستانة، العاصمة الكازاخستانية، على ضحايا جميع اختبارات الأسلحة النووية، بعضها على بعد 2713 ميل (4365 كيلومتر، حيث أطلقت شمال كوريا صواريخ باليستية متوسطة المدى والتي مرت فوق اليابان: وفي اليوم نفسه تم افتتاح منشأة جديدة في كازاخستان تحت رعاية وكالة الأمم المتحدة للحراسة على الأنشطة النووية، والتي قد تفتح فصل جديد في الحد من انتشار الأسلحة النووية.

في الخمس العقود التي مرت بين يوليو 1945 عندما فجرت الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية أول قنبلة نووية، وبين بدء التوقيعات على معاهدة الحظر الشامل على الأسلحة النووية (CTBT) في 1996، تم إجراء اكثر من 2000 اختبار نووي حول العالم. وبعد فتح التوقيعات على CTBT في سبتمبر 1996، تم إجراء 9 اختبارات نووية إلى عام 2016. ومنذ ذلك الحين، تعتبر شمال كوريا هي الدولة الوحيدة التي نعلم بإجرائها لاختبارات نووية.
